Downtown Greenway Freedom Cornerstone

Downtown Greenway, a collaborative project of the City of Greensboro and Action Greensboro, is seeking community input for Greensboro's newest public artwork, the "Freedom Cornerstone", to be located in the southeast corner of Downtown Greenway's four-mile walking and biking trail. What does freedom feel like to you? Send your thoughts in the form of a word, phrase, image or sound.

Responses will be shared with Atlanta-based artist, Radcliffe Bailey, who is creating a monumental sculpture that incorporates lighting and music as part of his commission. Bailey brings an international reputation to the "Freedom Cornerstone" and a history of telling stories of African-American history and culture.
