After studying at the San Francisco Art Institute David Molesky traveled to Iceland and Norway to apprentice with painter Odd Nerdrum. Molesky’s oil entitled Geysir, Norway evokes a mythical terrain with giant plumes of vapor rising above a plane where small figures approach the spectacle.
Molesky’s works are on view for the first time in Winter Show. His representational paintings have been featured in many museum exhibitions including the Baltimore Museum of Art, Maryland; Pasinger Fabrik, Germany; Casa Dell’Architettura, Italy; and Telemarksgaleriet, Norway and are in the permanent collection of the Long Beach Museum of Art
