ArtQuest has been a busy place this summer! Summer camps, birthday parties, and group tours have kept our ArtQuest volunteers and staff on their toes.
This week in the Magic Carpet Mystery Shoppe, campers ages 7-11 are using their artistic and investigative skills to help uncover who stole the Museum of Incredible Arty Facts most valuable painting, the Pony Lisa. Campers make up their own characters and create props, detective disguises, and mysterious art to solve the mystery. When asked about what her favorite part of camp is so far, 7-year old Ava told us: "I like clay, because I get to build things." All of our camps have filled up for the rest of the summer, so make sure you get an early start next year!
ArtQuest also offers a great place for you to host your child’s next birthday party. Private parties enjoy exclusive use of ArtQuest for a 2-hour celebration with an ArtQuest Birthday Facilitator. Semi-private parties are available at ArtQuest during our regular operating hours.
Beginning September 6 and running throughout the entire school year, ArtQuest will offer Masterpiece Fridays for children 2-5 years old. On Friday mornings you can join story-time, art making and a “lollipop” tour (BYOC – bring your own candy!) of Greenhill's current exhibition. For educators, ArtQuest has an array of curriculum-based opportunities such as group tours, traveling trunks, and artists in the schools.
