We’re happy to introduce you to Bill Johnston, a potter who lives and works in Greensboro. We have a collection of his colorful, sculptural leaf platters in the shop—come to take a look soon! Bill tells us a little about himself as an artist: “Twenty years ago while living in my hometown of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, I signed up for a pottery class at the local community college. I had enjoyed using handmade pots and wanted to try making them myself. After a few years of practice, I learned to throw bowls on the wheel and then to assemble wheel thrown and hand made parts, to sculpt and alter the forms. Then friends started asking if I would sell my pots, and voila!”
