Now, as in other eras of accelerated technological advancements and economic stratification, nature is especially threatened (e.g., fracking). It’s a good time to be neo-Romantic.
Truth is harder to come by than beauty and a lot more interesting. Reduction is the essence of abstraction. Less is more, and more difficult.
It’s uncomplicated. I paint because I love painting.
