Green Hill Center organized its first major traveling exhibition, Effective Sight: The Paintings of Juan Logan. Effective Sight was originally orgnaized by curator Mark Sloan in 1993 at the Gibson Gallery of the State University of New York, Potsdam. Elisabeth Merena, directof of the Visual Arts Program at New York State Council for the Arts was so impressed with the exhibition that she strongly urged Sloan to pursue an extended travel itenerary for teh show. At that point Green Hill, which was planning an exhibitoin of Logan's work, came into the picture as a host for the exhibition in Logan's home state and as travel and catalogue coordinator.
