In 1981, GreenHill began a new colorful media campaign and appealing new membership brochure to highlight the Green Hill Membership Drive. Promotion for the membership campaign began with a segment of Lee Kinard's "Good Morning Show" featuring a tour of the gallery and an interview with then Director Cynthia Ference. WFMY TV also privede a series of public service announcements about the drive, with shots from the gallery as background. Dick Windham also produced several radio spots which were distributed to area stations. He even wrote the slogan for the membership brochure which read, "Home is where the art is...Artists like calling North Carolina home." The goal was to increase the membership by one-third. Today, we have over 460 members of GreenHill!
