The first annual Collector's Choice gala was hosted at Green Hill on December 4, 1980. The gala was initiated to allow artists to exhibit their work in the gallery and to let over 500 members the opportunity to preview Green Hill's 1980 "Winter Show" and choose from several hundred pieces of art through open sale or silent auction. The evening included a cocktail-buffet-open bar reception and tickets sold for $10 in the hopes of raising funds for the operation of Green Hill. Today, Collector's Choice is one of GreenHill's most popular and fun night in the gallery. Last year, the event boasted over 400 attendees and sold several works of art displayed in the gallery.
